Forgiveness

Forgiveness is much easier to internalize than anger, bitterness or resentment.

I have never been one to hold a grudge. There have been times in my life when I think it would be healthier if I could hold a grudge and stay angry. My mom always said I was the first to get angry and the first to get over it.

I sometimes think it would be healthier if I could remember why I was angry to begin with. Because forgiving someone who didn’t ask for it, or who didn’t deserve it, only causes damage to yourself.

But.

Life is short. We all deserve second chances. Forgiveness is next to Godliness.

I live in the moment. And while sometimes the moment is overwhelming or upsetting, the moment quickly passes into something new.

And with it, goes I.
